Pertandingan Golf TYT Terbuka 2009



It is my greatest pleasure to announce that the State Sports Council / Majlis Sukan Negeri Pulau Pinang (MSNPP) “Pertandingan Golf TYT Terbuka 2009” on 19th July 2009 at Bukit Jambul Country Club is currently open for registration.  I wish to invite all golfer’s to come and join us on this day to support and to be part with the Penang Athlete Sports Development program.  

This is the first Charity Golf Tournament organize by Majlis Sukan Negeri and is objectively organized to raise a minimum fund of RM500,000 to facilitate Penang athletic development programs and athlete management. Our Excellency, Tuan Yang Terutama Tun Dato’ Seri Utama (Dr.) Haji Abdul Rahman bin Haji Abbas, Yang Di Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang will start the teed off session.

The format of play is stableford and the tournament is open to male and female players who are amateur golfers with the handicap of USGA 32 and 36 respectively. (USGA = the United States Golfer Association handicap system). The entry fee is RM300 and golfers will be treated for lunch dining at the Sukhothai Restaurant (a thai style restaurant).

With the generous contribution received from our sponsors, this tournament will offer many attractive prizes for golfers to grab such as prizes for Hole-in-One, Nearest to Pin, Nearest to Line and Longest Drive scorer.

For Hole-in-One winners, a brand new CHANA ERA CV6 car, Samsung 46” LCD TV, SHARP 52” MULTI SYSTEM FULL HD LCD TV, and a SUZUKI SCOOTER will awaits every golfer.

For the novelty prizes and lucky draws offered, our organizers had also managed to arrange a one time BMW WEEKEND EXPERIENCE drives on the 3 Series, 5 Series, and 7 Series car.  And it doesn’t stop here; there are also other great prizes which are up for grab such as Blackberry Storm handphone, Acer Notebook, Sharp LCD TV, Printers from Fuji Xerox, Epson and Canon, Treadmill, Takasima water filter, digital camera and many others.

We even prepared goodie bags for those who registered early and this includes a BMW Golf Cap for those who sign up early.

We aim to attract around 150 golfers in this 18 hole tournament, and I urge all interested golfer to register early and I assure you that your participation and corporate involvement in this tournament will be put to good use for our athletes and sports development.
