“The Ride is On”. It is a Go on 25th October.

With this phrase being said, It is with my greatest pleasure to announce that G-Club Penang Cyclist team and the Rotary Club of Tanjung Bungah with the cooperation and endorsement from Penang State Government under Jawatankuasa MMK Belia dan Sukan would be organizing one of the major cycling event of the year themed “Campaign For A Lane: Ride with Chief Minister”.

This cycling ride event is created as part of an initiative effort by the G-Club Penang Cyclist members and the Rotary Club of Tanjung Bungah to garner support from the public on the objective of campaigning for a proper designated bicycle lane in Malaysia. By having these special lanes, it is seen as a hope to allow cyclist in Malaysia to ride safely along any major roads which is heavily burden with an increase traffic flow in today environment.

The rides are opened to everyone. Whether you are an avid rider, a weekend rider or haven’t been riding for years; we invite you to join us. Riders do not have to be a member of any clubs or associations to take part in this ride.

There will 3 categories of rides to cater for all levels of bicycle enthusiasts.

  • FAMILY RIDES (Difficulty: Easy and open for 200 riders)

12 km starting from Town Hall Esplanade to Gurney Drive, then turn into Bagan     Jermal and back.
